John is an award-winning television and video producer, director and writer. He has supervised, scripted and produced series, documentaries and news coverage for NBC, PBS, Al-Jazeera English, National Geographic, Investigation Discovery and Discovery’s Science, Times, Health and Military channels, among other networks. As a Washington
Bureau producer for "Dateline NBC," John covered breaking news from the Clinton presidency through the 9/11 and anthrax attacks, to the Washington-area sniper spree. At the NBC Investigative Unit, John produced stories for "Nightly News with Tom Brokaw," the "Today Show," and MSNBC.
John wrote and produced the public television documentary Thinking Money: The Psychology Behind Our Best and Worst Financial Decisions. He was also a contributing producer for the long-running PBS magazine show “Religion & Ethics NewsWeekly.”
John earned a master’s at Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and
Diplomacy, and undergraduate degree at Boston College and the University of East Anglia in the UK. He lives in Arlington, VA.
