Yesenia Barrios (Yessi) is a graduate of City University of New York’s Baruch College where she double majored in Journalism and Digital Communications.  While attending Baruch, Yessi was a contributing writer for The Ticker, the student-run newspaper and a contributor to Dollars & Sense, a monthly student-run magazine where she brainstormed ideas with other members and assisted with story production. 

 

Yessi was an intern for Youthcast Media Group® in 2021 when she was the producer of "Therapy Thursday", an Instagram Live event where a variety of mental health-related topics were discussed.  

 

Yessi is currently an independent freelance reporter in the Bronx.
